Older People in 21 Kildare Groups to benefit from funding under the National Grant Scheme

Fine Gael TD for Kildare North, Deputy Anthony Lawlor, has welcomed the allocation of funding under the National Grant Scheme to promote sport and physical activity among older people.

“The scheme is a joint initiative between Age & Opportunity’s Go for Life programme and the Irish Sports Council, funding clubs and groups catering for older people.  The focus of the funding is on sport and physical activity and the allocations assist local groups with purchasing equipment or the running of sports events or other activities”.
